The 258 LP is a new model for Hino, which has been introduced to accommodate the transportation needs of a wide variety of industries. The low profile design is optimized for applications such as furniture delivery, landscaping, towing, car carrier, and the delivery of building materials and water bottles. Payload capability exceeds 12,000 lbs. Available wheel bases: 187 to 253 inches.
The 258 LP is equipped with the Hino 220 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6 cylinder engine.
The Hino 258 LP comes standard with an Allison 2200 RDS automatic transmission. An Eaton FS5406A 6 speed manual transmission will be available in October. Braking is accomplished by a hydraulic disc system with ABS. A Dealer installed exhaust brake kit is also available.
The 2007 Hino 258 LP comes standard with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Electric Windows, AM/FM CD, Coil Suspension Seat, a Self-Adjusting Clutch, Coil Spring Suspension Seat, Oil Lubricated Front Wheel Bearings, a 3 Piece Front Bumper and a Chrome Grille. |
