The 268 model offers an ideal balance of cargo capacity and fuel efficiency in the Class 6 rage of trucks. The 268 is excellent for city “stop and go” delivery operations that require the versatility of a truck with a payload capacity of over 12,000 lbs. This model is also available with a combination air suspension / air brake package. Available wheel bases: 175 to 253 inches.

The 268 is equipped with the Hino 220 H.P. J-Series OHC 4-valve turbocharged, intercooled 6 cylinder engine.
The 268 comes standard with a 6 speed Eaton FS5406A manual transmission with an optional 5 speed Allison 2200 RDS automatic transmission. Braking is accomplished by a Hydraulic Disc system with ABS. A Dealer installed exhaust brake kit is also available.

The 2007 268 Hino comes standard with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, Electric Windows. AM/FM CD, Coil Spring or Air Suspension Seat, Self-Adjusting Clutch, Oil Lubricated Front Wheel Bearings, a 3 Piece Front Bumper and a Chrome Grille.
