OBJECTIVES
The Field Parts Manager will support the objectives of the Parts team, specifically by providing Parts Sales, Marketing, Inventory Management related assistance and training to Hino customers and dealers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the Hino Parts Sales Target for assigned dealers and region is met or exceeded.
  • Provide and review Parts Performance report for assigned Dealers and support Dealers to achieve performance related goals.
  • Coordinate with Dealers and the Parts Division to ensure outstanding vehicle parts support.
  • Plan and organize visits to the dealers in their assigned region to provide additional assistance to the dealers as needed.
  • Provide additional support for Dealer/Customer when vehicle is off road.
  • Provide on-location Parts training for dealer parts counter staff or/and Managers.
  • Resolve technical issues related to the Electronic Parts Catalogue, Parts Portal, etc.
  • Attend Parts Training provided by Hino Motors Canada, Hino Motors Ltd. or other Hino related companies.
  • Work with Parts Marketing to analyze dealer sales and develop promotions based on dealer or customer’s demand to increase Hino parts sales/profitability.
  • Maintain dealer visit budget on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor dealer facilities and customer service levels in their region to ensure positive customer experience and feedback.
  • Attend organized dealer functions when possible (Open Houses, etc..).
  • Organize Customer Care Clinics and conduct survey research at the Customer Care Clinics with HMC/HMM/HML staff.
  • Support Service promotions and products (Express Maintenance Lube, Hino Protection Plan etc…)
  • Monitor dealer Parts performance on a monthly basis and support/promote growth of labour/parts sales
  • Collect and summarize information for differences between Hino parts pricing and competitive pricing level in the market and recommend countermeasures to resolve it.
  • Support and provide assistance to other departments.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary education in a technical or business related field of study.
  • Bilingual French/English would be an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Experience in medium / heavy duty truck parts sales.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide good feedback to HINO in order to maintain competitiveness of HINO Parts Pricing, availability, etc.
  • Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to details with frequent interruptions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to assist several dealers.
  • Ability to develop and provide Parts sales analysis and marketing product.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis and planning with ability to analyze and anticipate situations, define problems and objectives, recognize alternatives and formulate solutions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequent travelling required 70% - 80% of the time
