Objectives
This role is responsible for supporting the objectives and goals related to the sale of new HINO commercial trucks to National Fleet Accounts and select direct sale customers throughout Canada. The successful candidate will offer leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to HINO dealers in their sales efforts to expand the National Fleet accounts portfolio.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the National Sales Manager (NSM), District Sales Managers (DSM), and other team members to identify National Account customers, coordinate truck sales activities, develop sales programs, implement policies, and enhance brand image within the National Account target market.
- Provide pricing, specifications, and support to direct sale customers to secure truck orders.
- Establish an effective support role with dealer management regarding sales performance goals, market development, sales programs, and special events.
- Recognize product requirements and sales opportunities within the National Account target market.
- Assist in training dealer team members on products and processes and provide HINO product training to National Account end users as necessary.
- Promote National Account sales by visiting major national accounts with dealer sales team members to provide assistance and deliver Total Support.
- Encourage customers to anticipate their demand for HINO trucks and place orders in advance.
- Coordinate with the HMC distribution and logistics team to complete the order-to-delivery process for National Account orders.
- Maintain strong customer relations with National Accounts and address customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Stay informed about competitors, competitive dynamics, market trends, and prevailing market conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum five years of sales and/or sales management experience within the commercial truck industry
- Languages: English/French – an asset but not required
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide good customer service
- Ability to exercise initiative, good judgement and discretion in all matters
- Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership influencing, and negotiating skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- DZ / Class 3 license or provincial equivalent an asset
- G / Class 5 license or equivalent required
- Frequent travel required
