The Vehicle Distribution Coordinator will support Hino’s Sales Department by overseeing the logistics of delivering new Hino trucks from our Assembly Plant in Woodstock to Hino Dealers all across Canada. This role is responsible for maintaining import documentation and communicating release information with Carriers, as well as creating truck invoices, preparing reports and providing overall administrative support to the department.

This is a full-time position located at our head office in Mississauga, Ontario where we are currently utilizing a flexible hybrid work environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately manage vehicle orders and oversee vehicle logistics (land and rail) while generating necessary documentation to ensure seamless import and distribution of Hino vehicles,
  • Proactively monitor vehicles, answer inquiries from Dealers / Regional Sales Managers and provide status updates of vehicle delivery times,
  • Oversee requests for vehicle modifications to our plant in Woodstock,
  • Update the Hino Portal with complete and accurate details of truck orders, create shipping documents and ensure accuracy of truck invoices and credits,
  • Generate inventory & logistics reports for internal and external stakeholders, and provide administrative support to the team,
  • Process, monitor and manage transit damage claims to resolution,
  • Maintain the department’s Key Performance Indicators,
  • Perform other duties as requested,

REQUIRED

  • Post-secondary education and/or 1+ years of experience in logistics/transportation/customs role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Programs
  • Proactive, with a strong attention to detail and a strong ability to multitask
  • Must be a team player and able to collaborate & work effectively with others while providing a high level of customer service
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Overtime as required
  • Occasional Travel to the Hino Truck assembly plant in Woodstock, ON
