OBJECTIVES
An individual applying for this position must be a high performer, juggle competing demands and be able to work under pressure and bring a high degree of industry knowledge and customer service excellence to this role. This individual will be responsible for running Somerville Hino’s parts department in Toronto. The responsibility to achieve sales, profits, and efficiency by maximizing production, controlling costs, marketing, building a clientele, and establishing solid employee relationships.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and maintain set profit levels for parts department
- Build monthly reporting standards for departments to be reviewed by management for parts department
- Promote parts sales by suggesting seasonal parts, and specials
- Assist staff in determining proper parts sales to customers and techs
- Oversee the purchase, sale and inventory of all parts
- Oversee parts shipping and receiving procedure to optimize efficiency
- Direct and schedule staff in their daily activities when required
- Follow up with staff to ensure all customers are getting the required parts request as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Ensure staff compliance with required health and safety regulations
- Manage warranties, make sure all warranty policies are followed
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years parts experience
- 5 years’ Parts Manager experience
- Knowledge of CDK is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree is an asset
- Automotive/truck mechanical knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service & time management
- G license
- Clean drivers abstract
