OBJECTIVES
This position supports the objectives of the Service team, by providing technical information and training to dealers/customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Training:
- Plan and conduct classroom / shop training sessions for dealer technicians
- Prepare handout material for classroom training
- Develop Online Training Modules for dealer technicians
- Maintain/Update the contents of Online Training Modules and Tests
- Conduct customer onsite training for national fleet accounts
- Maintain the training facility and equipment
- Training reporting
Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to Regional Field Service Managers
- Occasionally provide technical assistance to dealer technicians by phone/email or onsite
- Support the Service Department annual initiatives and events
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in vehicle diagnostics, as well as good understanding of truck components including advanced diesel engines and electronics
- Licensed Automotive / Truck Technician or equivalent (strong asset)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Multi Media (strong asset)
- Willing and able to learn new technologies
- Bilingual - French and English (great asset)
- Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to details despite frequent interruptions
- Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide good customer service
- Good time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
